Volunteer Assignments

It takes a lot of work to pull off all the events, activities, classes, and fun that we enjoy in our homeschool community, but many hands make light work!

There is a volunteer requirement of all BCHE families. We understand that there are certain seasons of life that allow families to give a lot of their time, and other seasons of life that mean a family’s contribution to the BCHE community might be as simple as helping to set up for a reception. No worries–there’s something for everyone! When you register/renew your membership, you’ll be asked to choose a volunteer option that will benefit the families of BCHE. You’ll be contacted, along with others who have volunteered for the same option, and sent reminders with more details about how you can help with that particular area of service.

If you find, once dates for particular events and activities are set, that you can no longer help in that specific area, you’ll be contacted so that you can choose another. We do our best to choose dates that prevent too many BCHE activities from overlapping on the calendar.

Remember that Co-Op Registration (should your family choose to participate) comes with a family Co-Op service requirement that is IN ADDITION to your regular BCHE volunteer spot (that’s why Co-Op volunteering isn’t in the list below). Co-Op Volunteer Spots must be selected as part of Co-Op Registration.

Special Event help (Prom, MS Banquet) is usually requested at the time of that event registration, when we better know specific volunteer needs. Usually, parents of attendees are emailed and asked to assist with serving, decorating, cleaning, etc.
